Marta Luigina Mangini

Associate Professor of Paleography

Marta Luigina Mangini is an Associate Professor of Paleography (SSD HIST-04/d) in the “Federico Chabod” Department of Historical Studies, where she coordinates the Summer School in Integrating Traditional and Digital Approaches in Manuscript Studies. She teaches Digital Manuscript Studies on the second-level Master's programme in Digital Humanities, as well as paleography-related courses on the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in History and Historical Sciences. Her research interests include the paleographic, codicological and diplomatic aspects of medieval notarial documents, recycled documentary fragments and bookbinding. She actively participates in national and international research projects, collaborating with academic and cultural institutions on multidisciplinary computer science applications with a focus on manuscript studies.
