Tomaso Subini

Full Professor

Tomaso Subini teaches Film History and Visual Culture at the University of Milan. He has been the PI of three PRIN projects. The last one (still in progress) is entitled “Italian Cinema in the New Sources of the Vatican Archives on the Pontificate of Pius XII” (PRIN 2022). He is the author of several books, including “La via italiana alla pornografia. Cattolicesimo, sessualità e cinema (1948-1986)”, Le Monnier, Florence 2021 and “Le cronache di S. Matteo. Il film amato e accantonato di Pier Paolo Pasolini”, Utet, Turin 2022. He is a member of the scientific committee of the MAC Foundation - Audiovisual Memories of Catholicism.
