Marina Gazzini is an associate professor in the “Federico Chabod” Department of Historical Studies at the University of Milan. Her research interests have focused primarily on the analysis of social, economic and religious phenomena within the political and institutional framework of medieval Europe. She has also worked on the processes of transferring historical knowledge to the digital world, exploring its potential in academic, educational and public outreach contexts. In this field, she has taken part in a variety of initiatives with different objectives: coordinating workshops and internships, teaching on master’s programmes in Digital Humanities and Public History, and publishing in new formats. She is a member of the editorial team for the website Reti Medievali. Online initiatives for medieval studies <www.retimedievali.it>.
